The End
Sorry, for the delay in posting was caught up in studying for my final exam in my diseases class. The study guide is quite intense, and I know there will be other bits of information needed. The best part of this class has been the deveopment that has happened in our writing process. The most challenging part has been the revising the final paper. The paramedic method has been hard for me to grasp. I think I am over thinking the process. I will continue to read and try and understand this for my future classes. I have gained valuable information for my future classes, and in my career. Thank you to all my classmates for your kind words, and sensitivity when peer reviewing my paper. I have grown as a writer from this experience. Thank you to Professor Manning for all your encouragement and help with this process, you have been great. This class has been more enjoyable than I anticipated, and the experience has been one of the most influencial in my academic endeavor.

The end is near....
Here we are at the end of our writing term... This has been a very quick term, and I loved the manner in which we researched our papers and every week, we advanced the paper one more step... This has been an easy method to follow, and thanks toProfessor Manning. The only thing that I wished we had in this class was flexible seminar, taking the classes during the day when the kids were off from school was difficult. I won't make that same mistake. This was my first term where I was in school and my kids were not. I have enjoyed studying during the day before when they were in school, peace and quiet..nice...
I will take the methods and techniques I learned to my future classes. I have used the Kaplan Writing book in my other classes also, since writing is an integral part of those classes as well. Professor Manning says the college is changing the method of writing from APA to something else and just when I was getting the hang of this formatting we change, that is life though and I will remain flexible. Thanks to my encouraging classmates for all your gentle reminders and constructive criticism this has helped me develop as a writer.

Writing and Revising
Wow, what a process who knew this would take so long.. I guess this is why I shy away from writing, I feel mine is not worth reading and I have nothing worthwhile to say... it is intimidating to say the least.. Practice makes perfect, or at least understandable, and readable. I am always rewriting, and then trying to reword my information.. I am glad we have gotten the comments we have and I invite constructive criticism, this is the only way we can get better... I like the fact that all my classmates feel comfortable to give information concerning the papers we write.. the different perspective is nice.. I sometimes have a writers block, and perimedica method of revising is time consuming, but , necessary... I will strive to end on a positive note, and Professor Manning is always willing to lend a hand and help out I love that she is so approachable. I feel comfortable asking questions to my classmates and professor, when I am unclear. This process must go on and the end will be worth the work we have put into it.. it only makes us more effective writers for our chosen careers...

Peer Review
Hello All,
I was first afraid of the peer review process, I thought how can we review others papers if we ourselves do not know if what we have written are correct. Since this I had this thought it has been wonderful to read others papers and get a different perspective. I have found this very informative and welcome more peer reviews in the future. I try and think ahead of time the direction my paper should go in and then I switch gears, sometimes abruptly, and I need to work on sticking to the plan, and not changing mid way thru the process. When I research I try and find articles for information I want to know more about, but I was not finding the exact article, so I will devote more time to this as I know these articles are out there. The research just needs to be more indepth, and I will find it, maybe going to other sites to find the information, and looking for books with what I am looking for.. but mostly the information was from studies and doctors that have found evidence in their research from the subject.

Research Research Research
Hello Everyone,
My research will help in my future classes, since I am studying for my BA in Health Sciences, Healthcare Administration. I think as an administrator the more information we can gather for diseases of the body, the better informed we can be on what the hospitals can expect when certain diagnosis are handed out. What I mean is when someone is diagnosed with this disorder it can be affecting other areas of the body as well, and tests are needed to see what is out of balance, then these can be restored for better functioning within the body, and maybe some side affects can go away as a result of restoring hormone levels, digestion acids needed, or whatever is needed to improve ones longterm prognosis for better quality of life. Obviously this affects the whole family, as well as the patient, and along with this comes more cost involved but a better understanding to help ourselves in the long run. I hope to help others with my newly gained knowledge to help them have an easier time finding help, and information, along with therapies, and alternative measures to compliment conventional medicines.

Academic Life
My academic life, has improved my personal life. I have become more organized I became unemployed and felt the need to nest and get rid of clothing that no longer fit us and donated to the Goodwill, got rid of furniture that was cluttering my house, that was refreshing and felt good to give to a good cause. Since the start of school, in November of 2009, I have become organized with my time management, and organizational skills with regards to study time, researching, and allowing enough time to complete my assignments, without rushing throught them because I did not plan accordingly. This has allowed me to realize I can achieve my goal of completing my college classes and receive my degree, while still raising my children, and working. I have much more confidence in my own abilities and can conquer anything at this point..
When taking tests I also have less anxiety, since I have been shown some techniques to help tame those anxieties I once had. I did complete a questionaire and realized my areas I need improvement in.

Stealing your ideas... a no no
My initial thoughts on plagiarism are we should all want credit for our work, and if someone has to resort to stealing then they are the one with the problem. I believe that this should be taken seriously in the work place also, since this has happened to me and I had no idea until after the fact when the person took credit for my policy and procedure information and presented it to the owners of the company that I worked for and she got the kudos for this and tried stealing my thunder... that is underhanded and not called for anywhere. After reading the information on plagiarism I would want to acknowledge the original author for their hard work and dedication to the chosen topic.. after all they went to all the trouble to get this published and they took a lot of their time to accomplish this and they should be rewarded in the end... citing sources is important to not only keep your information organized but you get information from different sources and the information you obtained may not have been as in depth as what you found somewhere else. The information can be accumulated and compiled into your research but it needs to be properly cited and giving credit to the original source.. Only going to peer reviewed articles, or certain websites is best if you know the information is credible, and found to be factual so you do not mislead your reader with false information.
Plagiarism in the work place should be handled within that organization, and the person committing this should know that this is not tolerated and will be dealt with appropriately. Consequences should be imposed upon the offender.
Staying away from cites that are not credible should be a necessity since as a researcher I would not want to hand out information that is not the truth, and can not be backed up with research. The internet has made researching easier and quicker but knowing the sites to use and cite is always the best for our own protection. If a person quoted some information that they obtained from Wikipedia for instance and that was not correct I would hate to mislead the reader in thinking this was they would not want to trust me in the future, if they felt betrayed with the information I falsely printed...
