The online experience has worked for me, the flexibility is great I can accomplish getting my school work done while still here at home. I loved the anonmity at first since it had been so long since I was enrolled in school I did not feel comfortable with the whole process of having younger people in my classes and my own hang up of not knowing the answer, if the younger people knew I did not want to be embarrassed if I did not know... I have some terms under my belt and I am very confident now and I believe in myself that this is a great experience and I could handle a college setting where there is your physical presence in the professors presence.. Not intimidating at all now. The flexibility is one of the best attributes for taking online classes you can be here in the privacy of your own home, while your children are here, eventhough my children are teenagers, and not as dependent on my it is nice not to leave to go to class.. I have learned how to manage my time more effectively and this has helped me juggle my family, school, and housework easier than I thought in the beginning. I love the little pods or groups professor has chosen for us to work in, that helps with the whole getting to know your fellow classmates. I must say the blogging has helped also eventhough I do not know if I will keep that up at this time but willing to try. I know Kaplan is on facebook now and that is another way to connect with my classmates like we do before seminars we chat randomly this blogging and chatting with facebook helps us break the ice...
The facebook gives us a picture of the person so you kind of feel like you are talking to a real person and have a deeper connection with them. Just my thoughts for what it is worth
